Just like vows exchanged at a marriage altar—in the presence of God and people—when a child at Graceway is baptized, we, the congregation, are solemnly asked, "Do you promise to guide and nurture each child "by word and deed, with love and prayer, encouraging them to know and follow Christ and to be faithful members of his church." In response, the congregation answers, "We do."
Therefore, we would like to hold to the promises we've made to raise every child—together as a community of believers—in light of the kept-promise of God through our Lord Jesus.
We believe that the most lasting foundations of faith are established in the formative years of development; therefore, we desire for every child to be introduced to the inexhaustible wonders of God found in God's Word and the immeasurable love of Jesus Christ through his life, death, and resurrection. With that goal in mind, we treasure the Word of God and we desire for each child to know that they are thoroughly loved and known by him. We believe that with the Holy Spirit, we can encourage each child to explore knowing and following Christ.
We care for the youngest ones at Graceway, allowing parents to attend the worship service with the comfort and security of their child(ren) being in safe and loving hands. Infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age are cared for and played with in a secure and fun environment.
We care for children 2-3 years old. As toddlers preparing to join the Children's Ministry, they participate in a simple worship and learn lessons appropriate for their developmental age.
Children 4 years old and up through the 5th grade worship together and then break into smaller groups for a lesson and crafts. Classes are cared for and are taught by team of teachers.
